Tichaona Mushambadope is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZim), effective 1 May 2026. He has served as a member of the SECZim Board of Commissioners since July 2024 and brings extensive experience in technology, software development, cyber security, banking, mining, health systems strengthening, and consultancy sectors.
Commissioner Mushambadope holds multiple academic and professional qualifications, including a DPhil in Computer Science (currently in progress), an MSc in Computer Science, a Master of Management in Information Technology, and a Master of Systems Development. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.
Passionate about technology-driven transformation, he brings a forward-looking approach to capital markets regulation, with a focus on digital assets, fintech innovation, regulatory technology (RegTech), and supervisory technology (SupTech). His leadership combines technical expertise with governance insight to support efficient, transparent, and resilient financial markets.
